Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate the reopening of the Ballroom and our New Hampshire Preservation Alliance award. It was such an honor to have representatives from the NH Preservation Alliance, the New Hampshire Land and Community Heritage Investment Program, and Ms. Elizabeth Durfee Hengen on hand to help us celebrate this achievement. We were delighted to see the Ballroom dressed up and hosting a beautiful summer event.

Many thanks to the following businesses who helped make the event a success: Old Salt Catering for the delicious food & drinks; Drinkwater Flowers + Design, our premiere florist for the event; Flowers by Marianne and Cymbidium Floral for also providing floral arrangements; the Noteworthy duo for the perfect ambient music; and to North Hampton Community Media and Little Redd Photography for capturing the event on film.

Several of our representatives, although unable to attend in person, shared their recognition of our accomplishments and congratulations on our prestigious Preservation Achievement Awards and the opening of the Ballroom.

“Projects like the one to celebrate and maintain Centennial Hall ensure that current and future
generations will experience the community spirit that has sustained New Hampshire cities and towns
for centuries. …Thank you to the Friends of Centennial Hall for all you have done to reinvigorate this rich piece of
our Granite State story. Your efforts make it possible for Seacoast residents to add their own
chapters to the compelling, community-focused narrative behind this important local resource. I wish you all the best as you continue your good work”

Senator Jeanne Shaheen

“FOCH has been a shining example of a community group passionate to protect their community’s history. The
work of FOCH has allowed Centennial Hall to return to its status as a cultural beacon within its
community, and with the opening of the ballroom,Centennial Hall will continue to uplift North
Hampton. … I commend FOCH for protecting the history and culture of Centennial Hall, and I hope other communities in New Hampshire and nationwide can learn from their example and preserve the cornerstones of their communities.”

Congressman Chris Pappas

“Please know that I am inspired by your organizations fortitude in making this project a success. Not only have you inspired others to take on similar challenges, you have created a model process, setting the bar very high for communities around the state to aspire to. Centennial Hall is now on a very sound foundation that will contribute greatly to the quality of life in your community.”
